Charming cottage finished to a high-standard throughout, situated in the quiet seaside village of Gileston, on the South Wales coast, just 6.5 miles from Barry Island.

This property enjoys a quiet location in the Vale of Glamorgan, just a short walk from the pebble beach in the seaside village of Gileston. The beach is perfect for those who are looking to escape the crowds and simply enjoy the tranquil surroundings, however, for a complete change of scene, nearby Barry Island offers a livelier taste of seaside life. Located less than seven miles away from the cottage, Barry is a favourite day trip for holidaymakers and locals alike, offering a fun seafront pleasure park with a good range of both thrilling and family friendly rides. A little further to the west, some fifteen miles from the property, the Welsh capital Cardiff is a vibrant city with a fantastic choice of shops, bars, museums, and arts venues, as well as a host of attractions including Cardiff Castle, Bute Park, and even a tour of Dr Who locations. This property is accessed via a bridge which leads to the front door and on to the delightful living accommodation. The lounge is the natural heart of the cottage, offering a relaxing cosy atmosphere with its warming wood burner, TV, DVD, and two comfortable sofas, one of which is a sofa bed which can be used to accommodate two extra guests. The kitchen/diner has the same charming character as the lounge and offers a dining table alongside an oven, hob, and fridge/freezer. A separate utility room is a handy space where guests will find the microwave and washer/dryer. The property’s double bedroom is a restful retreat with an elegant feel to it, whilst the shower room is a contemporary space offering a corner shower and WC.

Outside, there is a pretty, enclosed garden to the front of the property which has a sunny seating area with garden furniture from where guests can enjoy the fantastic countryside views towards the sea. .

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

If home from home is for you with all the creature comforts you enjoy then Pebbles cottage is for you. So peaceful with lovely views and our hosts Jo and Peter are so friendly and our welcome pack including treats for our dog were so appreciative especially as we arrived late due to a tiring journey from the West Country with jams on the M5. The VaRead morele of Glamorgan is so beautiful and easily accessible from the cottage. The lovely safe garden is nice to relax in with garden furniture to enjoy. Hide

A lovely, cosy cottage within a few minutes walk of a pebbly beach and ideally placed to explore all the areas around Cardiff and right out to the Gower Peninsula. Lovely "cottage" with everything one could wish for. Most obliging of hosts who ensured that our stay fulfilled all our wishes. A great place to meet up with families for the first time in 18 months following travel restrictions. Pebbles was in every way perfect, location, cleanliness, comfort... everything! The garden is a great bonus for dog owners being totally secure. As soon as we got to the cottage we knew we were going to have an amazing week. As we drove through the village which was awarded as the cleanest village of the year, we knew the stay would be special. As we walked inside the cottage we were very impressed by Johannes attention to detail and how perfectly everything worked together. Lovely cottage, had everything we needed including blankets and towels for our dog. Welcome hamper was great and much appreciated. Garden was safe for the dog, but she did manage to jump from the steps into the owner's garden (also fenced so still secure). Quiet location with lovely view over fields to the Bristol Channel.
