The immediate area offers excellent walking, cycling and mountain biking with the Fife Coastal Path that passes through the village too. If you are a fan of Outlander then three of the film locations are within easy reach - Culross, Doune Castle and Midhope Castle.  To the north of the village water sports enthusiasts can enjoy canoeing, sailing and open water swimming on Kinghorn loch. Fishermen are also well catered for with sea, river and loch fishing available close at hand. Within easy reach of St Andrews, the home of golf and the cities of Edinburgh, Stirling and Perth, with their excellent leisure and shopping facilities, making this all a fantastic base for your holiday.

As you walk in to the hallway the kitchen is opposite the entrance, moving on into the lounge with its magnificent sea views and cosy log burner to snuggle up and enjoy a good film on the Smart TV.  There is a double bedroom with sea views and the shower room next door with separate shower unit and WC.

Although there is no garden, right opposite the apartment is the lovely beach with step and ramp access it is the perfect place to sit back and relax and look out towards Inchkeith Island.

The gorgeous beach is on the doorstep, accessed via steps or a ramp. Take your blanket for a relaxed beach picnic or enjoy a stroll along the shoreline before supper. Wander the quaint streets to the picturesque harbour where you can watch the fishing boats unload their catch or feast on freshly caught fish in one of the harbourside restaurants. Step onto the Fife Coastal Path for a day walking the rugged coastline, seeking out the perfect bay for a paddle or head to Kinghorn Loch for canoeing, sailing and open-water swimming.

Spend the day discovering the coastal city of St Andrews (27 miles). Explore the remains of the 12th century cathedral and climb to the top of St Rule's Tower for panoramic views from your 33m tall vantage point. Stroll among the atmospheric ruins of St Andrews Castle, sitting on the headland overlooking the North Sea and find out about its bloody history in the museum. Golf enthusiasts will be fascinated at the impressive collections in the British Golf Museum, located opposite the Old Course clubhouse, including the earliest known set of golf clubs.

Not to be missed is Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh (26.5 miles), with its blend of historical sites and cosmopolitan style. Stroll the Royal Mile, browsing the shops and maybe picking up a souvenir of your stay. Climb Castle Hill to reach the imposing Edinburgh Castle. See the splendours of the Royal Palace and gaze on the famous Stone of Destiny, displayed along with the Scottish Crown Jewels. Spend some time in the National Museum of Scotland where exhibits range from dinosaurs to space age science. Step onto one of Edinburgh's secret gems at the museum's roof terrace where you can enjoy stunning views across the city.

The location of this accommodation was fantastic! The accommodation itself was perfect, it was very homely and so well equipped we couldnt have asked for anything more. I would recommend this to anyone!

Perfect location and uninterrupted view of the Firth of Forth. Its comfy and inviting. You need to enjoy walking up and down steep slopes and steps to get out and about locally. Ideal if you want to stay fit.

The location is wonderful and we enjoyed the space. The flat is well appointed and comfortable..thought we found the bed a little hard for our taste. It was lovely to have the generous hospitality from the owner.

Fantastic location with great views over the bay, the best holiday let we have stayed in, ideally located for the railway station and and major roads to the highlands and coast roads. Dont look any more, this is the one!

Lovely comfortable property with everything you could possible need and more! Situated in a quiet spot right next to the beach with stunning views of the Firth of Forth right out to Edinburgh and beyond and with the train station just a few minutes walk away above the property.

We had a wonderful time at Providence House. We already miss the views and sounds of the sea. The flat has equipped everything needed. It's about 45min by train from Edinburgh and about the same time by car to St. Andrews. Great place for walks along the beach. We loved watching the dolphins play in the Firth of Forth!

The place was fantastic to be in over looking the sea .. the only thing what was not good on the second week we was there the flat under us was having some work done in it and there was a lot of banging going on tell late 9pm for 4 days and we had a man on the roof looking around we had to close the windows and blinds for 2 days

Well laid out large apartment. Very comfortable bed. There is everything in the a ppartment that you would need except a toaster which I thought was strange. Next to train station which is handy. This is a lovely quiet cottage almost on the beach at Kinghorn. Its close to a number of pubs and shops in Kinghorn and the railway station is only a short walk away (useful for trips into Edinburgh). Most of Fife accessible easily by car. Whats not to like? We will go again for sure.
