We had a lovely stay in Rascarrel Bay in the week before Christmas, soaking up the sea views and having some bracing walks. This was a return visit for us, in the same year to this lodge. It offers a relaxing environment with the opportunity for coastal walks and plenty of touristy excursions, whatever is your choice. Absolutely amazing, couldn't fault anything. Definitely 5 stars, they have everything you could need. The lodge was spotless and the owner was down emptying and washing the hot tub on our last day (in torrential rain and wind). Location couldn't be better amazing views and about 20 minutes to Castle Douglas.

An absolutely stunning cottage/lodge. The view was breathtaking and the inside was beautifully presented. The fenced in deck really made a difference for us with our two dogs, it meant we could relax and not worry about the dogs running off. The hot tub was a real plus and we used it often. Would definitely go back.

We had really nice weather and my hubby came home with a tan, its a very peaceful location with the odd walker or car going past. Cannot fault it at all.
