I would recommend this accommodation- it was just as the pictures and we had a very peaceful and relaxing holiday. You definitely need a car as there is nowhere nearby to buy anything.

This was our second visit to Rascarrel. Fantastic lodge in an amazing location with the best views. We were lucky to have beautiful weather during our stay too. Only half an hour drive from both Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright. The rabbits on the hillside at the rear of the lodges are delightful to watch. Would definitely return again.

We have stayed in cottages and lodges all over Scotland but this was by far the best one. there was everything we needed and more and for the first week except for a walk we did not move from the hot-tub and the lodge. I have just retired and it made a fantastic end to my working life. We will certainly be back.
