Set in beautiful countryside close to Roadford Lake, in a courtyard with three other barns and the owner’s large farmhouse on the Devon/Cornwall border.

The central and accessible location makes the property an ideal base for exploring both Devon and Cornwall where you will find a choice of beaches and coastal walks to the North and South as well as attractions to suit all tastes. These include Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor with its rugged scenery, Lydford Gorge, Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Morwellham Quay and RHS Rosemoor. Plymouth and Exeter are both easily accessible, as is Launceston with its castle, the ancient capital of Cornwall. Golf, cycle paths and riding can be found locally and fishing, sailing and other activities can be found at nearby Roadford Lake.

From the courtyard, enter the property through the front door and into the open-plan living area which consists of lounge/kitchen/diner. Relax on the sofa and watch the TV or a movie on the DVD player. For those who like to cook the well-equipped kitchen area has all you need with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. If you decide to eat in there is plenty of room to sit around the dining table. Both of the bedrooms offer zip-and-link beds, one super-king-size (which can be made up as a twin on request) with a TV/DVD and en-suite wet room with shower and WC, and one twin zip-and-link (which can be made into a super-king-size on request) with TV/DVD and an en-suite shower room with WC. This is the ideal property for couples looking to holiday together or small families.

Heading outside is an enclosed patio area with garden furniture and BBQ, further on is a lawn area. There is a specific dog walking field available for those with dogs and there is ample off-road parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

First class property. Stunning views from the lounge. Excellent thought out kitchen had everything catered for. The washroom was superbly done. A doggie heaven retreat with a field set aside just for them. Perfect for young and old alike. The perfect peaceful and relaxing retreat to unwind.

Being a wheelchair user i found this cottage very accessible, it is all on one level with wide door ways and low thresholds, it has a large wet room with a shower chair which has a back rest and side arms,
