A stylish five star property with stunning waterside views, located on the edge of the traditional fishing village of Appledore in North Devon, with its range of shops and eateries.

This property makes a wonderful base for a break in North Devon. Guests who are looking for a quiet, restful holiday can choose to leave their cars parked on the drive and take the fifteen minute walk into the pretty village of Appledore, where there is an array of interesting shops, some tempting bistros, welcoming pubs, and the attractive quay. In the summer season, it is possible to catch a ferry across the estuary to the nearby village of Instow, where there is a yacht club and a sand and shingle beach. Also, around a mile’s walk away is the expansive sandy beach at Westward Ho!, which also boasts a surf academy.

This stunning property offers luxurious accommodation, with stylish décor and spacious rooms. The lounge is an attractive triple aspect room, which gives guests the perfect space in which to relax and unwind, with its sumptuous atmosphere and a kids corner to keep the youngest members of the group entertained. The stunning view across is the real showstopper from the lounge, TV with full Sky package, DVD and Sonos. An archway from the lounge leads to the contemporary kitchen/diner, where there is a dining table seating eight, as well as a handy breakfast bar. Guests will find all the equipment they will need to make themselves at home, including a Range oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher and a Nespresso machine for your morning coffee, whilst the washing machine is housed separately in the property’s garage where you will also find a table tennis table. All of the property’s four stylish bedrooms offer a restful space.  The first bedroom is a king-size which benefits from en-suite shower room with WC. There are two double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom. The main bathroom is a sanctuary like space with a spa bath, shower and WC.

To the rear of the property, accessed through patio doors from the kitchen/diner, a walkway leads up to a sunny and spacious raised decked area, with table and chairs from which guests can enjoy al fresco meals, or perhaps relax with a drink whilst admiring the views. Beyond this area is a generously sized lawn, which is a great space for allowing children to burn off some energy or to indulge in a spot of sunbathing. There is off-road parking for three cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The lively tourist destination of Westward Ho! (2.5 miles) is within easy reach where you can enjoy games of cricket and football on the 2-mile stretch of sandy beach. Get competitive on the go-kart track and practise your putt on the crazy golf course. Pull on your wetsuits for a private lesson at the renowned surf school. Step out onto the South West Coast Path for a bracing walk along the stunning coastline and enjoy the sensational views across to Lundy Island. Board the MS Oldenburg from Bideford Quay (3 miles) to explore the unique habitat of Lundy Island, spotting seals and maybe even basking sharks on the journey across the water. Hire a fleet of bicycles and ride the Tarka Trail, a traffic-free route leading through pretty Devon countryside, or pick up the paddles for a group kayak lesson down the River Torridge. Further afield, head to the Milky Way Adventure Park (10.5 miles) for a fun-filled day out riding the rollercoasters. During the summer months, splash and slide your way around the adjacent North Devon Wake Park where you will find a floating obstacle course to challenge the whole family.
