One-of-four five-star properties, with a private hot tub, situated in a quiet village in North Yorkshire, within easy reach of the North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.

This property is located in the village of Sinderby in North Yorkshire, seven miles from the traditional market town of Thirsk. This attractive town with its cobbled square is a lovely place to spend an afternoon wandering around the shops, or perhaps enjoying a pleasant walk along the river. Around the town, there are plenty of attractions to please all interests, including a Birds of Prey Centre, The World of James Herriot, Kiplin Hall, and a fantastic outdoor pursuits centre, Yorkshire Outdoors, which offers a huge range of activities including 4x4 off-roading, Segways, quad biking, and clay pigeon shooting. Further afield, but still within easy reach, the towns of Harrogate and Ripon make excellent destinations for day trips, as does the RHS garden at Harlow Carr.

On arrival at this five-star cottage guests come first to the spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This welcoming space is a characterful room with high beamed ceilings and a warming wood burner. There is comfortable sofa and armchair seating from which guests can enjoy the TV/DVD, as well as patio doors which open onto the property’s patio. At the far end of the space, the kitchen area is furnished with a dining table and equipped with a Range-style oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Two of the property’s bedrooms are king-size rooms which can be made up as twin rooms on request, each benefitting from its own Smart TV and en-suite bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC. The third bedroom, meanwhile, is a restful double room with an en-suite shower and WC.

To the rear of the property, there is an enclosed patio with a BBQ and patio furniture, as well as the ultimate relaxing treat, a hot tub. There is also a small bistro patio set at the front of the property. Guests are able to follow a designated walking route around the owner’s farm, allowing them to meet the resident animals and possibly collect eggs from the chickens. There is off-road parking available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £200 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

The attractive town of Bedale (8.5 miles) is a great place to have a coffee and then make your way around the town's antique shops and independent boutiques. Foodies will be delighted by the range of local produce, including beers and cheeses, on offer.

The vibrant cathedral city of Ripon (9 miles) boasts a Thursday market, numerous coffee shops, pubs, restaurants and a nice collection of independent shops to explore. The cathedral is smaller than its close neighbour, York Minster, but is still an awe-inspiring sight. In addition, every night for at least 450 years the Ripon Hornblower has sounded the curfew at 9pm from all four sides of the obelisk in the market place, come rain or shine, followed by a 15-minute history of the ceremony and the city – an experience not to be missed! If you are partial to a flutter, Ripon Race Ground has around 15 meets from April to early September. Known as 'Yorkshire's Garden Racecourse' it has a distinct atmosphere harking back to a bygone era – traditional tearooms and bandstands sit alongside the champagne bar.

This area of Yorkshire has enough historical sites to keep you busy for a week with Ripley Castle (16.5 miles), Newby Hall (12 miles) and Norton Conyers (5.5 miles). Visit lovely Fountains Abbey and the gorgeous Studley Royal Water Garden, 12.5 miles away – this World Heritage Site is deservedly one of the National Trust's most visited locations. As well as the spectacular ruins of a 12th-century Cistercian abbey, the grounds are home to an Elizabethan Mansion, a medieval deer park and some of the most romantic vistas in the country.

Harrogate (20 miles) is an absolute must-visit if you're staying here. Encircled by its famous Stray, or 200 acres, of horseshoe-shaped grassland, the Victorian spa town of Harrogate has a bright and breezy open-air feel and is characterised by its impressive floral displays. And as you would expect of such a bustling upbeat town, Harrogate boasts over 300 bars and restaurants together with all the shops, cinemas, parks and gardens you could ever wish for.

The vibrant little village of Osmotherley (18 miles) on the western side of the North York Moors is well-known as a starting point for walkers and cyclists. This gorgeous little place is real picture-postcard stuff. It also offers excellent facilities including a cafe, village stores and a fish and chip shop. If you're a bit of a foodie, this part of Yorkshire is packed with fantastic gastropubs, restaurants and delis.

Lights to the front of the house and xmas tree up was a nice touch.. unhappy about the time limits on the hot tub however wasnt a problem as owner explained as long as we were respectful to others.. Lovely friendly welcRead moreome and quiet. Nice that we could frequent the farm and help ourselves to fresh eggs daily.. But you have to be up early to get them.. Hide
