The cottage is the ideal base to explore Exmoor National Park with its glorious moorland countryside, Red Deer and Exmoor ponies, both of which can be spotted regularly in the fields adjoining the property.  With no end of walks to choose from in and around the area you will be able to witness first hand the amazing views, the area has to offer. The coast to the North at Porlock and Minehead (with its lovely steam railway) is a short drive away with wonderful long sandy beaches to be found further west at Woolacombe and Saunton Sands. or a little further on to Westward Ho! and the spectacular cliff walks of the Hartland coast. These beaches are particularly popular with families for swimming and surfing.

Step inside and you’ll be immediately greeted into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with high ceilings and exposed beams this property has plenty of character. The lounge area has comfy seating, one of which is a sofa bed,  and a TV/DVD for you to sit and relax after a busy day exploring whilst watching your favourite film. Cook up a romantic meal for two in the well-equipped kitchen with, electric oven and hob, combi microwave oven, fridge with ice compartment and washing machine. Head further into the property and you will find the double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. And separate WC.

Heading outside to a small enclosed patio area and a shared lawn area with garden furniture and lovely views for you to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. There is off-road parking for one car.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Unfortunately this was probably the wettest weekend of the year so it was difficult to get out as visibility was nil! That's no-one's fault! Otherwise everything fine, beautiful views (without the mist) and really rural Exmoor.

Lovely clean cottage, very close to the town of Dulverton, which has everything you could possibly need. Very warm & cosy, perfect for us & our 2 dogs, with many walks close by. The kitchen was very well equipped & the bed very comfy. Would definitely stay there again.

The cottage is spacious for two, comfortable and has everything you need for a self-catering holiday. It is located a few miles from Dulverton up one of the many narrow country lanes typical of the Exmoor area. There are several good walks either from the cottage (3 miles to Tarr Steps) or not far away (along the river Barle). Anne, who looks afterRead more the cottage, is very helpful and keen to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. We can thoroughly recommend Sheepfold Cottage. Hide

We thought it was lovely the moment we walked in the door. It felt really cozy and had everything we needed. The decor gave a country cottage feel while having all the mod cons. We couldn't asked for anything better.
