This holiday property is perfect for couples, growing families or a trio of friends seeking home comforts without sacrificing style. The village of Sidbury has plenty to offer. There is a shop, village pub and a local church. Footpaths and bridleways are accessible.

This beautiful cottage is perfectly situated for an idyllic retreat just inland from the beautiful sea side town of Sidmouth. It provides a great base to explore the unspoilt countryside, Jurassic coast and why not enjoy a local Devonshire cream tea. Beneath the distinctive red cliffs and green hills of the Sid Valley is the nearby seaside town of Sidmouth, known for its timeless charm and festivals. The River Otter close by meanders its way via Ottery St Mary down to the estuary in Budleigh Salterton and is a good place to spot wildlife including kingfishers, otters and even beavers.

As you enter this charming cottage, ahead of you is a lobby, a great space for you to hang your coats and kick off your boots. Following on, you enter the spectacular lounge area, which boasts period charm with its exposed beams and delightful fire place with gas effect fire. A truly beautiful space to relax, after a long day of exploring all that South Devon has to offer. Relax watching a good film on TV of listen to your favourite music via the  Amazon Echo Dot. To the rear of the lounge is a beautiful kitchen, which is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, washer/dryer and a coffee machine. Leading off the kitchen is a light and airy conservatory area, where you can sit down and enjoy an evening meal around the dining table with a view over the garden and surrounding countryside. Heading back into the lounge area, a door leads to the staircase which will lead you upstairs where you will find two bedrooms, one double with wall mounted TV and one single with Smart TV and internet access, there is also a shower room with shower and WC on this floor.

Heading outside via the conservatory area, you will find an enclosed patio style garden at the rear of the property with furniture and a BBQ (charcoal not included). There is roadside parking available in the village subject to availability.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely cottage in a nice location near plenty of dog friendly places, beaches and pubs to visit. Didn't have a problem parking outside the cottage.

Sidbury Retreat is a delightful Cottage in a lovely area of Devon. The Cottage is well equipped and every need has been thought of. There are interesting places to visit and good eateries nearby. The local pub (The Red Lion is very close and offers a warm welcome - It is not open on a Sunday evening or on a Monday). Local footpaths are near to the Read morecottage. Hide

The cottage had everything we needed indoors and out., including nice treats on arrival. Set in a lovely village with good pub and village shop. Was a great base for walking, visiting NT properties and local attractions such as donkey sanctuary and West Somerset railway.

A beautifully presented cottage in a gorgeous village location. Easy access to the coastal towns/villages nearby - Beer, Branscombe, & Sidmouth! Lovely local pub The Red Lion with a very friendly welcome for both us & our dog Tilly. Will definitely be returning to this lovely cottage retreat.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and very well equipt. The beds were comfortable and every room had a TV. The village location was good for travel and the garden was peaceful and very secure if you are taking your dog. The local pub was welcoming with nice food. The only thing to note is that the stairs to the bedrooms are a little awkward ifRead more you have mobility issues. But the cottage is one of the best we've ever staged in. Hide

It felt very homely & comfortable with everything we needed & we really appreciated the welcome pack after a long journey.The garden was ideal to eat breakfast in & the conservatory a lovely eating area too.Parking was no problem at all if you avoided school arrival & departure times. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was clean, well appointed and nicely located in the pretty village of Sidbury. The village has a butcher's shop and newsagent/general store and there is a nice 'local' (The Red Lion) almost opposite the cottage where we had a couple of very good meals.....Curry Night and Fish & Chip Night. Nice not Read moreto have to get in the car if you want a relaxing evening. There are also plenty of N.T. properties in the neighbourhood and good pubs. Hide
