This beautiful character cottage occupies a great central position in the quaint and ever popular fishing village of St Mawes and provides a perfect coastal escape for couples and families alike.

This fabulous property is perfectly situated at the heart of the delightful coastal village of St Mawes. The village itself offers a lovely selection of independent boutique shops, pubs, restaurants and galleries, alongside a pretty harbour and three beaches. From here you can jump on the pedestrian ferry and enjoy a day in Falmouth or take a cruise on Carrick Roads, and in the summer enjoy a boat trip to St Anthony Head. Other attractions accessible from here include Truro, the regions capital and boasting an array of shops and eateries, numerous English Heritage and National Trust properties and St Ives, or visit Penzance, the most westerly point of the UK at Land’s End, or its most southerly point at The Lizard.

This pretty property is approached from the road via six stone steps and over a lovely raised patio, another step takes you through the French doors and inside the property where you will immediately find yourself in the light and airy entrance hall where you will find the dining table. This fabulous versatile space provides somewhere to discard boots and coats after a day exploring and provides a great venue for a relaxed family meal. Another step up then takes you into the hallway with more useful storage and seating and bearing right from here you will find yourself in the beautifully cosy lounge. This sociable space offers a perfect mix of comfort and period charm and boasts a generously proportioned leather corner sofa, TV/DVD, wood burner and a pretty window seat. The final room on the ground floor is the well-presented kitchen and breakfast room which boasts lovely original tiles and beams, a galley style kitchen which is perfectly appointed with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Heading up the original steep staircase and onto the first floor you will then discover the beautifully presented bedrooms, the first of which is a master double, this spacious room boasts a further window seat with a sea view to the left, stunning original beams and stonework, and an en-suite shower room and WC. The next room is the compact yet perfectly appointed single bedroom, sat next to this the main bathroom with a hand-held shower over bath and WC. Completing the offering inside the property is the adorable quirky single bedroom with additional cabin bed above, this offers a standard single bed with a custom made 2’6” cabin bed above and boasts a side sea view.

Venturing back outside and to the front of the property you will find a lovely enclosed patio area offering garden furniture, a view of the nearby sea, providing a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sun. A public car park is located 100 yards from the property, and it is possible to load/unload your car just a few yards away.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Excellent cottage.Great location. Cosy and very well equipped. Have visited 3 years running and would go again. High step up from road which may be problem for some people.
