Beautiful thatched cottage in a central village location, ideally placed for touring. Spend lazy days in the garden, take a trip to the Jurassic Coast or explore the verdant countryside on foot.

This charming detached property is set in the centre of the village of Mosterton, which boasts a local pub and shop. Combining contemporary living with character charm, it offers a great base for families to enjoy a relaxing break. Ideally placed for touring Dorset and Somerset, there are a selection of nearby towns to explore, such as Beaminster, Crewkerne and Bridport with its popular vintage shops. Head South and visit the stunning Jurassic Coastline, where you can spend an afternoon wandering through the quaint cobbled streets of Lyme Regis or stretch out on the beach at West Bay. Nearby, Charmouth is the ideal spot for a day out fossil hunting.

 A paved path leads from the parking area to the front door of this detached and traditional, thatched cottage. Stepping inside to the welcoming hallway, there is a spacious twin bedroom to your left with feature fireplace. Opposite, is the dining room with original features and lots of space for all the family to enjoy a meal together. A door leads from the dining room through to the stylish, well-equipped, galley kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. From the kitchen, a step up takes you up into a utility room with washing machine. Alongside, is a separate shower room with WC. Next door to the kitchen you will find the bright and airy lounge with cosy furniture and TV and DVD, the perfect spot to relax after a long day exploring the area. Heading back into the hallway you will find steep cottage style stairs leading up to the first floor. Here you will find two of the bedrooms, a king-size and a double. There is also a cosy den with an Xbox, DVD's, board games and bean bags. Completing this floor is a contemporary shower room with WC.

Heading outside, you will find an inviting enclosed front garden with a raised lawn area and gravel terrace with table and chairs, perfect for a spot of al fresco dining. A gate leads from the front garden through to a more spacious lawn garden, which is also enclosed making this an ideal space for all the family to enjoy. To the side of the property is roadside parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A fantastic week at south cottage which was thoughtfully equipped, well furnished and located close to Lyme Regis, golden cap and jurasssic coastline. A much enjoyed week in Dorset.

The cottage is very suitable for dogs, well equipped and located for all of the resorts in West Dorset. There is a small SPA and Pub (that does food) in the village - so you have everything you ned really. Beaminster is charming and has a number of nice restaurants and shops, with Bridport say 20min in the cr the closest town. The host is very welcRead moreoming and helpful. Great cottage with everything we needed. Lovely light airy lounge, spacious bedrooms and dining area. Lots of books to read, board games and jigsaws. My daughter and I loved playing boules (provided) on the lawn. Short walk to the pub ( good food) and Spar. In an excellent location for exploring. Would highly recommend.

South View cottage is a charming thatched Dorset home, with a pretty cottage garden, the property is spoilt by a major traffic route through the village, the garden was noisy with passing motorbikes, lorries, vans etc, there is a good size, but uneven rear garden/all day sun trap. South Cottage was the perfect base for visiting the area. The cottage is perfectly presented and very comfortable. It is very well equipped and everything we required was available to us. I highly recommend this cottage and we will definitely return in the future.

A beautiful spacious traditional cottage in a quite village with a great pub which does very good food. A convenient shop is close by. A good location and base for trips. The cottage has everything you need was nothing that we could say we wished we had. The kitchen is modern with new modern appliances. Beautifully presented comfortable accommodation. The galley kitchen equipped with a high quality oven and hob worked very well for us. Excellent bathrooms and showers. The garden was very secure for our dog. The location was ideal for exploring this part of Dorset and south Somerset.
