The surrounding area has much to offer visitors, whether they want a low-key break enjoying country walks, or a fun-packed holiday full of interesting days out. The town of Glastonbury, with its Chalice Well Gardens, atmospheric ruinous abbey, and fantastic range of quirky shops is twenty miles away, and makes a wonderful place to spend a day. Other attractions in the area include the Fleet Air Arm Museum, the Haynes Motor Museum, and the historic town of Sherborne.

At the heart of this stunning barn conversion property, guests will find the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a wonderful space to relax and socialise, with its vaulted ceiling and large windows, which together give the room a fantastic light and airy feel. The lounge area, at one end of the space, is a cosy area with a TV/DVD, warming wood burner and two sofas. A large dining table runs through the centre of the room, leading guests from the lounge area across to the kitchen. The kitchen area has been contemporarily designed and offers an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher, whilst the washer/dryer is housed in a separate utility room. Each of the property’s three bedrooms benefit from doors which open on to the garden, two of these are super-king-size rooms which can each be made up as twin rooms on request, thanks to the zip-and-link beds. One of these rooms has an en-suite shower room with shower and WC, whilst the other has a Jack-and-Jill style en-suite bathroom with a shower-over-bath and WC. The third bedroom is a king-size room, which again can be made up as a twin on request, next to which is a bathroom with bath, handheld shower, and WC.

Heading outside, the property enjoys a patio garden with table, chairs, and a BBQ, beyond which is a pleasant lawn area with views across the surrounding countryside. The owners can offer stabling for up to two horses nearby, and there is ample parking on the gravelled area adjacent to the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The accommodation was a very good size and it was suitable for a wheelchair user. It was surrounded by lovely countryside and had a very good fence to keep the dogs safe. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were modern and a good size. There was adequate bedding and towels for our week's stay.

The holiday home is situated in an absolutely beautiful rural setting, with a nice ambiance. The tranquility that surrounds it is beneficial. There are wonderful excursions to be made and it offers a true English countrylive experience. We enjoyed it immensely!

Staffords Green Barn is an absolutely fabulous place to stay. It is a lovely barn conversion, beautifully decorated, with a good enclosed garden (important if you have a dog) and the scenery all around is wonderful. Great walks with the dog and the local pub , the Queens Arms, has great food, good garden and very nice staff (although it is a short Read moredrive rather than a walk). Roads very narrow so not sure I would want to stay in the winter, but absolutely beautiful in the summer. Hide

Perfect location. Excellent dog walking from the doorstep! Local pub is lovely & serves great food. bit of a trek across fields to get to by foot. Beautiful barn conversion but we felt there were little touches lacking considering the price. Whilst the mattresses were comfy, some needed replacing, as they had several stains. The lawn had not been mRead moreowed for a while. En-suites has no shelf to put toiletries. Absolutely stunning views though & Sherbourne is well worth a visit, its a lovely town Hide

Lounger garden chairs would be nice. Property is certainly"away from it all",The views from the front of the house are spectacular,a farm lower down in front ,and green fields and rolling country really are "A Place in the Country".Well equipped and spacious.

The perfect place to stay for groups with dogs. The garden is completely secure. The utility room is a great place for dogs and muddy boots. The open plan lay out makes is a really sociable property. Plenty of room for parking. An excellent property in a very rural setting.

Lovely and spacious cottage in a beautiful location. The owners really thought of everything (such as boardgames!) and the cottage was immaculately clean, with fluffy towels and crisp linen.
