This cosy barn conversion was refurbished to create a stylish and welcoming property perfect for a romantic countryside getaway, close to the coast at Robin Hood’s Bay.

Situated down a peaceful country lane and surrounded by open countryside, this property provides the chance to get away from it all but with the tea rooms, shops, pubs and beach at Robin Hood’s Bay less than 3 miles away. Outdoor-lovers and dog-walkers will be pleased to know that the Cinder Track is a similar distance away and follows the former railway line from Scarborough to Whitby, offering fresh sea air and stunning coastal views.

Step into the property, where a tiled floor leads through to the open plan downstairs accommodation. The lounge area is the perfect place for you to relax, with a comfy sofa just right for two to snuggle up in front of the woodburner while enjoying treats from the welcome hamper. Reclaimed pine floors blend with quirky decor to create a homely atmosphere. You can unwind in the evenings with the TV/DVD player or unplug with the help of books and board games. The spacious kitchen has everything you need to create a meal with delicious Yorkshire produce, including an oven, a gas hob and a dishwasher, while the dining table has ample space to enjoy a meal together. The stylish bathroom is also downstairs and includes a feature claw-foot bath, perfect for you to luxuriate in. Open staircase with large, south-facing window leads to the light and airy double bedroom, complete with storage and a desk.

Outside, you can enjoy the open countryside views from the south-facing courtyard, which is shared with a neighbouring cottage. Ample off-road parking is available outside the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage was characterful cozy and comfortable and we were immensely impressed with the cleanliness quality and attention to detail the owner provides to make a memorable stay . We were blessed to find such a perfect property in the heart of the wild and wonderful North Yorkshire Moors

This was the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. There were many little things that were an added bonus; the dog box, the little torches, the throws on the furniture..... Our cocker spaniels loved it too ! It is in an ideal location as there are so many places to visit nearby. We would have loved to stay another week.

This is a beautifully decorated cosy cottage in a peaceful location not far from Robin Hoods bay. It has all that is needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Swallow cottage is a comfortable, clean, well placed holiday destination that is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire coast and national park. We had a fantastic week in this quiet little sanctuary that was ideal for two people and a dog.

The cottage was lovely. It was a bit difficult to find and we had to ring up for directions. It was hidden away down off of the main road. Cottage was cosy, clean, and contained everything that we needed. We used the log burner most nights, not because it was cold, but it gave a cosy glow. Ideally situated in the moor away from crowds but just a stones throw from the beach. Great for walking dog, but no direct access from cottage to beach without a substantial stretch on the road.

A really peaceful and well secluded little cottage - a wonderful place to return to at the end of a long day walking. We loved it's position - perfect location for accessing all the local beauty spots.

We loved this quirky little cottage. It was clean , warm and private and actually better than we expected. It would have been good to have an area to let the dog off for a run but there were places to walk him and we still would be happy to return to this lovely cottage.

This is a beautiful cosy space perfect for a couples getaway and a great base to explore from. If l was being picky and you have a big dog beware there arent many walks directly from the house and if rainy no washer/ dryer for any muddy gear! Other than that its fabulous and would highly recommend.
