Roam the 43 acre grounds designated as a Local Wildlife Site by Shropshire Wildlife Trust, join Glyndwr’s Way National Trail or Offa’s Dyke or choose one of the many footpaths, cycle routes and bridle ways through the majestic Welsh and rolling Shropshire Hills. The property has been lovingly refurbished, in 2017 and has flagstone floors and exposed beams greet you as you enter this charming property. The spacious and creative open-plan lounge/diner has a fabulous inglenook fireplace and wood burner taking centre stage. Relax on the comfy sofas and watch TV or a film on the DVD, listen to music and lose yourself in a good book or just embrace the wonderful view of rolling countryside. The dining table is well placed to enjoy a meal and discuss your plans for tomorrow. If you decide to eat in, the superb kitchen caters for all your needs with electric hob, fridge, microwave/convection oven and induction hob alongside thoughtful little extras creating a delightful space to prepare a meal. Upstairs you can truly relax in the lovely bathroom with shower over bath and WC and then retire to the welcoming super-king-size bedroom with freshly laundered linen and fluffy towels.

Enjoy alfresco dining on the patio with furniture and BBQ or take a picnic on the lawn. Make the most of the stunning views from the private hot tub or explore the 43 acres of grounds. We had the perfect getaway, the cottage is so quaint and cosy. We used the log burner every night as we went at the beginning of June which was lovely. The drive up was so picturesque and the grounds were amazing for our little dog as it was all fenced in. There was a groundsman who we saw everyday and he was so helpful, recommending places to go aRead morend wood/kindling for the fire, anything we needed he was more than happy to help. We had a wonderful time at the very cosy Tack Cottage. Jenny and Dave were so welcoming and were happy to oblige anything we needed during our stay. Fabulous stay at this cottage. The views were amazing. The cottage was almost out of a film set, very cozy and secluded. Was greeted with a bottle of bubbly (thanks very much) and all the essentials I.e. coffee, tea, milk, eggs and wood stocked up for the burner with free stock to help yourself. This was a truly beautiful cottage in a very remote area, the scenery was lovely. Anything we needed was in the property to use. It had a cosy feel and a very comfortable sofa for the rainy days.

The cottage is very secluded and situated up a very long entrance path with sheep grazing on it . The are many uneven surfaces and some steps into the property then another step down onto flagstone floor and the path leading to cottage is stones . Spent a wonderful week at Tack Cottage - despite the weather! The location is stunning and so peaceful - perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Jenny was always on hand if we needed anything, and the cottage and facilities had everything you would need on a short break. The hot tub had amazing views.

Tack Cottage was everything we wanted from our mini moon. The location was beautiful and we took advantage of the gorgeous views from the hot tub.
