This is a superbly located house close to the wild sea shore. It is a low, organic wood-and-glass build which respects its environment and yet has airiness, light and high space. Fantastic gateway for out door types and adventure seekers. The location of the house is breathtaking. The only problem was the hot tub had broken down, but we were blessed with the weather that enabled us to visit the beautiful beaches with our young granddaughters. Plenty of lovely restaurants in the area. Minch Adventures adventure boat trips isRead more a must. Billy and his wife were amazing hosts taking us around the islands, giving us a history of the area and pointing out the wildlife, fishing and visiting the most remote pub for lunch. Great cottage on sea front and great wildlife around, due to hot weather which was great outside, we couldn't get the cottage to cool down even after 3 days, but still a great holiday we had, thanks.

This lovely house is in a beautiful setting, remote enough for peace and tranquility but close enough to a local convenience store at Glenuig or Arisaig. ( Delicious produce - kippers/cheese etc at the smokehouse at Glenuig). A great garden too for young adventurers to explore! There were a few hiccups- the sink blocked in the main en-suite but sooRead moren sorted by local handyman, Billy, sadly the dishwasher wasn't working, leaving dirty pots and although we cleaned filters etc it couldn't be rectified so was going to be replaced after our stay. The hot tub wasn't prepared so needed filling and heating but was greatly enjoyed eventually! ( Some extra towels would be helpful for use with the hot tub and /or more washing powder and dishwasher tablets/ tea towels ). Despite the hiccups - which could have happened anytime- we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, hence the 5 stars! Hide
