This stunning property has been lovingly fitted and furnished, is perfectly situated at the heart of the vibrant fishing town of Brixham and provides a great base for couples and families alike.

Brixham itself is renowned for its pretty harbour, a perfect spot for enjoying water sports or trying your hand at crabbing, offers a choice of beach and boasts an open air sea water lido at Shoalstone. Surrounding this is an assortment of colourful cottages housing seafood restaurants, cafes, shops and pubs. Head out and explore the rest of the English Riviera with an abundance of sandy beaches, or take the foot ferry to Torquay or Paignton. If an active holiday is more your style then there are plenty of things to keep you busy ranging from golf, walking and cycling. Other attractions within easy reach include Kents Cavern, Paignton Zoo, Living Coast, Splashdown Waterpark, National Trust Greenway House and Gardens, Dartmouth, Plymouth and Exeter.

On entering this stunning property you will firstly find yourself in the beautiful period hallway with original tiled floor, and this then opens into the lovely lounge/diner. This light and bright room boasts a fabulous bay window and here a cosy sofa and chairs sit in front of a Smart TV with DVD and a warming wood burner effect electric fire. Located close by is the well-equipped kitchen and this offers an additional dining area alongside an electric double oven and gas hob with extractor hood, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Neighbouring this is the brilliantly useful utility room boasting a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer and a separate shower cubicle, perfect for washing sandy toes. On the ground floor you will also find an open plan dining area allowing formal meals to be enjoyed. Heading up the stairs and onto the first floor you will then discover the spacious bathroom with separate shower and bath and then next door to this is a separate WC. The beautiful bedrooms comprise the rest of the property and these consist on the first floor of a generously proportioned bedroom with super-king-size bed and sea views, and a cosy double bedroom with sink. Then heading up to the second floor there is a further large bedroom with sea views and king-size bed, and a pretty twin bedroom.

Cottage was comfy and a great fit for our party of 5. Plenty of crockery, glasses etc for multiple meals. Handy dishwasher and washing machine. Brixham is a great place, lots and lots of steps everywhere though. Loved having the courtyard to enjoy in the evenings. Took our mini bbq. The Bay is a wonderful holiday home, we had everything we needed. We were able to cook family meals and felt so comfortable there. It really was a brilliant holiday

Great location - just 112 steps down to the High Street! Also great view across the town, particularly from bedroom on 2nd floor. Roads are very narrow and looking at previous reviews we wondered if parking was going to be a problem, but we had no problem parking opposite the house on the road while we were there (Easter). We had a great time in Brixham and the house was perfect for us: a party of six adults spending the new year at the seaside.
