With a fantastic wrap-around balcony, this bright and spacious log cabin enjoys a tranquil, picturesque setting with breathtaking views over the River Slatach and the surrounding mountains.

This wonderful lodge nestles in a spectacular riverside setting with magnificent views and tranquil surroundings. You can relax and enjoy the wildlife including golden eagles, black throated divers and red deer. Nearby attractions include the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion monument and Glenfinnan, which lies on the scenic 'Road to the Isles' from Fort William to Mallaig. You could travel by the Jacobite steam train along the Victorian railway which travels over the 21-arch Glenfinnan Viaduct and Loch Shiel, both made famous by the Harry Potter films. The Nevis Range is within driving distance, as are the Ben Nevis Distillery, Fort William and the glorious beaches of Arisaig and Acharacle.

On entering this delightful property you will find yourself in the attractive and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The comfy and inviting lounge is ideal for relaxing in, with beautiful views as well as TV, DVD and patio doors which lead out onto the spacious balcony. The dining area is perfectly positioned, again offering charming views. Heading over to the elegantly designed kitchen area, you will find it fully equipped with electric oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and a useful large storage area, ideal for outdoor boots and clothing. Exploring this cosy accommodation further, you will find three comfy bedrooms. There’s a double room, one twin and a single bedroom. You will also find a shower room complete with WC.

Stepping outside, you can sit back and enjoy the magnificent riverside setting from the spacious wrap-around balcony which is complete with patio furniture and which overlooks the glorious River Slatach and offers views of the mountains beyond.

Perfectly located for an active stay, from this location you can conquer majestic Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles. Standing a mighty 1,345 metres above sea level there are two tracks you can choose from, one for less experienced hikers and one which is slightly tougher and recommended only for experience hikers. At just 23 miles from your door, pack up the essentials and head for a hike to remember. Reach the summit and admire superb views as you tower above lochs, valleys, and spectacular scenery.

The film buffs amongst you should make the journey to the magnificent Glenfinnan Viaduct which is under a mile away and was made famous as the railway line which spirited Harry Potter and his magical friends to Hogwarts. Picture the Hogwarts Express whizzing along the tracks and take in the astonishing views for yourself.

For a morning of wildlife spotting you do not even need to leave your home. Golden eagles, black throated divers and red deer also call this spot home and you can put your feet up on the balcony and watch carefully for them to grace you with their presence.

If dipping your two in the ocean and building sandcastles is more up your street, beautiful Camusdarach Beach at Arisaig is 24 miles away but well worth a visit with a yummy picnic packed up.

A lovely place to stay in a beautiful setting. The owner is friendly and welcoming, and provides fresh eggs from her free range chickens. The owner lived next door and was very helpful and welcoming - giving us extra equipment for our 2 year old and 9 month old. My kids especially enjoyed the two chickens who were regular visitors to the cabin. The cabin was well equipped with everything. The Glenfinnan Hotel was around the corner with a lovely bar overlooking the Loch and monument.
