Stylish barn conversion property sleeping four guests, enjoying a rural location on the owner’s working farm within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

This property is situated in the northern area of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, surrounded by breath-taking countryside views. Nine miles south of the property, the attractive market town of Helmsley is a fantastic place for a day trip, which not only offers an interesting range of shops and eateries, but is also home to the beautiful Rievaulx Abbey, and the National Centre for Birds of Prey, as well as a thriving arts centre where there is a cinema, theatre, and exhibition space. Further afield, the seaside town of Whitby is less than an hour’s drive from the cottage, where visitors can visit the atmospheric abbey and, if they are feeling brave, participate in the eerie Dracula Experience.

It is easy for guests to make themselves at home in this barn conversion property, as the front door opens directly into the welcoming kitchen/diner, a spacious room with a farmhouse-style dining table and all the equipment that guests will need including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. One of the bedrooms can also be found on the ground floor: a restful twin room, next to which there is a shower room with a walk-in shower and WC. Stairs lead from the kitchen/diner directly into the first-floor lounge, a relaxing room with a TV, DVD, and a balcony which affords far-reaching views over the farm and beyond. The master bedroom is also on the first floor, a pleasant double room with a co-ordinating wardrobe and dressing table. The bathroom on this floor offers a bath and WC.

Outside, guests can enjoy the enclosed patio area in front of the cottage, where they will find a picnic table making it ideal for enjoying alfresco meals. There is ample parking available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Brilliant, comfortable, quiet. Great to see a working farm. Lovely welcome, fresh fruit bowl, fresh milk and everything required for tea and coffee plus fizz. Warm, friendly hosts. Well situated for NT properties and great walking area. Dog friendly including towels rub dogs down.

Our hosts were friendly and helpful. They provided us with fresh milk, fresh eggs, a bowl of fruit and other groceries on our arrival, which was a very welcome surprise.

Lovely converted granary which looked small from the outside but was very spacious and well designed inside. Lovely stone paved floor in downstairs kitchen/dining area which was great for easy sweeping up after our dogs! Very friendly owners. Lots of really nice and thoughtful touches such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, flannels, milk, eggs and a Read morebottle of prosecco in the fridge and a fruit bowl. Towels for drying the dogs! . We ended up buying a tray (30) of their free rang eggs to take home. Hide

Loved this cottage, situated in a beautiful area with walks on your doorstep, lovely owners were there if you needed any help otherwise were left alone. Thoughtful extras like milk, eggs, fruit, prosecco and lots more. Home from home, would love to visit again.

The outside of the property looks deceptively small.. but it is a beautiful tardis, very clean and very comfortable. My children didn't want to leave, nor did the grown-ups! We have stopped in various cottages both U.K and abroad, and we all agreed that this little beauty topped them all.
