Two-storey period property sleeping two guests, with a high-level decked terrace, perfect for enjoying romantic meals whilst enjoying the spectacular views of the harbour and out to sea.

This property is situated close to Brixham’s bustling harbour, which is always busy with fishing boats, pleasure craft, and ferries which run around the bay to the resort town of Torquay. The harbour itself is a fascinating place for a stroll, as is the town itself where visitors can enjoy browsing the shops and sampling the local seafood served up by many of the local pubs and restaurants. Those who enjoy walks will love the coastal paths which lead out of town and offer fantastic views of the bay, whilst passing by some lovely secluded beaches such as those at St Mary’s Bay and Fishcombe Cove.

 Perched above the outer harbour and enjoying spectacular views over the marina, breakwater and across Torbay to Torquay is this delightful end terrace house. The Lookout is set above the road on a private pedestrian approach reached by either a 7 step or a 17 step flight of stairs, flagged by wrought iron railings and enjoying sea views. It is situated at the bottom of Ranscombe Road on its junction with Berry Head Road and King Street.

This cosy property is a wonderful place to enjoy a quiet weekend away, and makes for a fantastic couples’ retreat. On the ground floor of the property there is a lounge, kitchen, and separate dining room. On arrival guests will love to put their feet up in the cosy lounge, and during the cooler months, curl up in front of the warming coal-effect electric gas fire and enjoy the Smart TV/DVD player from the comfy sofa. The dining room is next to the kitchen and offers a place for formal meals in front of the electric effect log burner. The kitchen has everything that guests will need to prepare their favourite dishes, should they choose to cook whilst on holiday, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. A door from the kitchen leads outside to the steep steps which bring guests to the terrace. The bedroom is located on the first floor: a double room with an en-suite shower room with WC, and views over the harbour. In an unexpected addition to the property, there is also a bathroom on this floor with a relaxing roll-top bath, separate shower, and WC.

Behind the property there are 3 levels of terraces, which is accessed from the ground-floor. There are steep steps leading to all 3 levels, the terraces provide spectacular views over Torbay. The steps up to the terraces are unlit and are dark at night. The table and chairs on the terrace provide the perfect space to enjoy drinks whilst taking in the stunning views.  The owners of the property provides guests with a free parking space for the marina car park, which is just 400 metres from the property, this must be arranged prior to arrival.  

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

  • Stop on the road opposite the Little Lookout for as long as its reasonably necessary for the purpose of picking up or dropping off persons and their luggage.

  • The property is accessed via a single flight of steep steps from the road
  • Brixham is busy fishing village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.
  • Many of the amenities and cottages in Brixham are accessed via steps some of which can be steep.

  • There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars.
  • Dogs are allowed on the Breakwater beach from 1st October to 31st March. The nearest green area for dogs is Churchill gardens approx. 300metres along Berry Head Road towards the Marina car park.

Good location if you are fully mobile and fit and well. Lots of steps to the house.

Beautiful property in a fantastic, elevated position. This house actually has 4 bedrooms so loads of space. Access is via steep steps which can be a bit precarious when carrying bags etc. The views are incredible and much better than expected. The property is clean, comfortable and inviting and a pleasure to spend time in. Within a few miniutes walRead morek there are some lovely restaurants and cafes to enjoy around the harbour. Highly recommended and one we will be visiting again. Hide

This is a lovely cottage very central to Brixham. It is has a well equipped kitchen and good TV options. Nice clean bathrooms and very good heating/hot water provision. It actually has 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. We loved it. The description highlights that this cottage in not really suitable for anyone with mobility issues and this is true sinceRead more many stairs you have to climb are very steep. (Brixham is quite hilly anyway). Terrace would be fab in the summer. Hide

Beautiful cottage, clean, well stocked, comfy and cosy. Fantastic views and if your knees are up to it, the views from the decking are the best.
