This private, detached property sits in the tranquil village of Burrowbridge, within walking distance of the famous Somerset Levels. It’s great for families thanks to its range of excellent facilities.

From this property, you will be perfectly positioned to explore the beautiful county of Somerset. There are footpaths directly from the door that lead into the surrounding countryside. Nearby Exmoor National Park and the Quantocks also offer spectacular views, cycling, horse riding and walking opportunities. The historic towns of Glastonbury, Wells and Street are all within a 30-minute drive and offer an abundance of shops, restaurants and attractions. To the north, you will find Minehead and Weston-Super-Mare, and to the south are the popular towns of Seaton, Lyme Regis and Exmouth.

Stepping into the property through the front porch you’ll find a welcoming hallway leading into the kitchen/diner, which features a warming wood burner and a large dining table to seat eight comfortably, as well as far-reaching countryside views. The kitchen is well fitted and equipped with everything you need to prepare, cook and dine in style, with an electric range oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. French doors open out onto the side patio with access to the summer house. Off the kitchen is a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer, and beyond is a separate WC. This makes a good boot room that’s ideal for coats, welly boots, and dog baskets. A games room is next and offers adults and children alike the opportunity to relax on the corner sofa and watch the Smart TV, or enjoy the air hockey table and dartboard. A step down leads to a cosy snug with large bean bags and a selection of books and puzzles. The lounge has ample comfy seating and a Smart TV, as well as countryside views. Upstairs in the sleeping accommodation there are four bedrooms: a zip-and-link super-king-size (which can be made into a twin on request), a smaller room with a double bed, a king-size with en-suite shower room with restricted headroom (in the eaves of the roof), and, lastly, a twin room with low futon-style beds (due to restricted headroom). The family bathroom completes the accommodation with a shower over bath and WC.

Outside there is a large patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ, plus a large summer house with comfy seating and a bar with counter and bar stools. There’s also a private hot tub. The rear area also has a raised decked patio with seating overlooking the river and riverbank (young children and pets need supervision). Enjoy distant views of Burrowbridge Mump, a large grade II-listed historic mound topped with a ruined church.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
