Three-storey holiday cottage with a homely feel, located just a few hundred metres from the bustling harbour in the English Riviera town of Torbay, with its shops, restaurants, and beaches.

This property is located in the English Riviera town of Brixham, just a short walk from the town’s harbour. The town has a long-standing maritime history and the harbour remains the heart of the town, and offers visitors a choice of boat trips, from relaxing tours of Torbay, accompanied fishing trips, and a regular service across the bay to the resort town of Torquay. There is plenty to see and do in the town, from beaches to restaurants, to scuba and even a fascinating replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship The Golden Hind. Further afield, but still within easy reach, the towns of Paignton and Torquay are also popular destinations with visitors, and offer attractions such as golden sandy beaches, a zoo, an aquarium, and a wonderful steam railway which runs through the Dart Valley.

The front door of this cottage opens directly into the lounge where guests are greeted with a homely and welcoming atmosphere. Two comfortable chairs and a sofa allow guests a relaxing space in which to enjoy the TV, DVD, iPod dock, and cosy log fire which is set within the original exposed-brick fire place. A pretty stained-glass window is set between the lounge and the kitchen which is situated towards the rear of the property. It is easy for guests to make themselves at home as there is an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge with ice compartment, whilst the washing machine can be found in the conservatory which is accessed through the kitchen and offers a lovely sunny dining space for guests to enjoy. Stairs from the lounge lead to the first floor where the master bedroom is situated, with its king-size bed. The bathroom, also on the first floor, has a corner bath and WC. Up on the second floor, there are two further bedrooms: a restful single room with sea views and a bunk bedroom.

Outside, there is an enclosed patio to the rear of the property, where the owners have provided a table and chairs for guests to enjoy. There is parking available for one car.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage was clean and well equipped the only slight drawback is the traffic noise at night as on a busy road. Situated close to town centre .

The location of this cottage is great - 10 min walk to the harbour and shops. The allocated parking space next door was really handy. The cottage is very tired - furniture and carpets are very old and stained particularly in the living room. Beds were very comfortable. Small outdoor space with a table is nice to sit in the sun. Dishwasher would be Read morenice but there isnt space for one. Customer service from the cottage manager was great when I couldnt work the washing machine. Hide

Lovely cottage very nicely presented and well situated. Well equipped, I would include a fresh coffee large cafetiere but that is all. Did not disappoint at all. A lovely outside area which was imaginatively presented.

Comfortable and only a couple of minutes walk away from the centre of Brixham. The guaranteed parking space was invaluable as one of our party had limited mobility.

Really enjoyed our short break, wish it had been longer, A really cosy, comfortable cottage. The garden is a little sun trap which we were able to enjoy due to the fantastic weather. Easy, short walk into Brixham harbour from the cottage.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the cottage was very clean upon arrival and very well equipped. Truffle cottage is excellently situated within a short walk of Brixham Harbour, ideal for a night at the local cocktail bar, Liberty! Overall we loved our stay here, and will be back, many thanks.

A lovely characterful cottage in a great location, just around the corner from the harbour, parking next door, enclosed outside space for our dog. Have just returned from our second visit.

Truffle Cottage is ideally placed for reaching the whole of Brixham and has a big plus in having parking - it should be noted that parking, although adjacent to the property, is in a car park owned and operated by the Quayside hotel and is unallocated and was generally packed while we were there. The property is a good size for 3 or 4 persons but 5Read more would be a squeeze. There's plenty of equipment in the kitchen for cooking if you wanted to. A TV is provided but it is not Smart. Wifi works well. Hide

Truffle Cottage is well situated close to Brixham Harbour, parking is available in the adjacent car park, which is very convenient. The bedding was clean, as was the bathroom, however there were cobwebs and patches of damp and scruffy, tired decoration throughout. It needs some updating and revamping. There were no leaflets, info or guest book. The cottage is in a great location, with easy access to harbour and waterfront/beach. It also got paid parking at the back, but this parking is very busy/full at times. The cottage is also on a very busy road, so a lot of road noise to the front, can't open windows. It's a lot of money for this cottage, but with parking I guess you can't complain.

And you can walk along the break water lookout for the Dolphins.
