A former coach house, this gorgeous property has embraced its new lease of life with style and flair. Boasting flawless design, it is the perfect romantic retreat.

Located in the heart of the picturesque Middleham village in Wensleydale, you can immediately make the most of all that Yorkshire has to offer. A 200-yard walk will get you to Middleham Castle, while a 1.5-mile drive will take you over the border and officially into the Yorkshire Dales. Here, a veritable playground awaits, with plenty of potential walks and cycle trails to follow. For a bite to eat, you can find tearooms opposite the property, and 2.5 miles away in Leyburn town a plethora of restaurants and cafes can be found. For an unforgettable day out, make sure you visit the Forbidden Corner. Home to a labyrinth of tunnels, chambers and follies, it provides fun for all generations.

Stepping in through the traditional stable door, you are met with the property's open-plan living area. A spacious design featuring a lounge/kitchen/diner, it is both roomy and inviting. Pad over the heated flagstone floors and drop into the lounge's comfortable sofa or armchair. Here, a wood burner really adds to the ambience, and a large TV serves up morning news and evening entertainment. To cook up a storm, the kitchen houses everything you could need. With an oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer, all modern conveniences are supplied to make your stay as relaxed and easy as possible. With so much on offer to see and do surrounding the property, you wouldn't imagine that bedtime could be so tempting: but it is. Heading upstairs, you will enter a large, open-plan space with a king-size bed and fantastic monsoon shower behind a glass wall. Emphasising quality and glamour, it is a real masterpiece. Further to the bedroom, there is also an en-suite with WC, and complimentary toiletries and fluffy robes are provided too.

Outside, a private, sheltered patio treats you to views of the castle walls and is a dreamy spot to sip your morning coffee. A chimenea adds extra warmth and makes your evenings a little longer.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Warwick Coach House is set in the heart of Middleham village in Wensleydale, one of Yorkshire's loveliest villages. Famous for its castle (once home to Richard III) it's also home to several racehorse trainers; you will see and hear the horses being led through the village up to the gallops every day. And to top it off there is a lovely collection of pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops.

Opposite the cottage is a charming tea room if you fancy an afternoon treat, and for dinner, you can opt for a local pub or perhaps some Italian food. There's also a village store and a couple of bric-a-brac shops to mooch around. Just a few miles out of the village is the fantastic attraction The Forbidden Corner (3 miles). Regularly voted the best family attraction in Yorkshire, it's also worth a look even if there are no children in your party.

In the opposite direction, you'll find the charming market town of Leyburn (2 miles). Leyburn is an archetypical slice of Dales market town life. You'll find traditional shops, pubs and cafes all gathered around the handsome town square, which hosts a busy market every Friday. Leyburn is also home to the biggest auction centre outside of London if you fancy picking up a bargain. The nearby historic town of Richmond (13 miles) is similar in many ways and has a lovely setting along the River Swale.

There are lots of other pretty villages and stunning natural sights all within close range of Warwick Cottage. Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle are both within 10 miles and the gorgeous villages of West Burton (10 miles) and Askrigg (14 miles) are within easy driving distance, so there is lots of choice for things to do if you want to get out and about. If walking is your thing, the Yorkshire Dales are something of a walker's paradise. There are plenty of options for cycling too in this Tour De France country.

Amazing little cottage in a very friendly village. The little gifts that were left for us eg. Wine , biscuits , milk etc was a lovely little touch.

The cottage had all the amenities, to make your stay comfortable, very private and quiet. Not a lot of view but we didn't mind, within walking distance to the general store, restaurants, pubs and walks. Very open plan (which we were aware of) depends on the individual, if you like the open plan shower and toilet in the bedroom with no doors.
