Lots of good places nearby to eat, especially the Derwent Manor Hotel, a 15 minute walk or a 3 minute drive away. Lovely quiet cottage in beautiful location. Cottage very small but comfortable with very steep stairs to the bedroom. Owner very helpful. Good location for visiting the area. Second time using your cottages and would book with you again.

The host was very friendly and welcoming. We found the cottage just what we hoped for. It was very comfortable and cosy. Decorated to a very high standard through out and very clean. And it was in a beautiful location. Very clean, well equipped and everything finished to a very high standard.

The cottage was beautifully clean, well stocked and good linen and towels. We stayed at Quarry Cottage for two nights to visit Belsay Horse Trials. We ate at the Manor House Inn and the Punch Bowl and can highly recommend both.

A great cottage, we were worried as North east weather was unpredictable but cottage was cosy and the roaring fire was homely. We have had a lovely weekend -made better by the beautiful surroundings! We will be back.

A gorgeous little cottage. We love the location with nature right on the doorstep. Everything we needed was here. The owner is friendly and gave us some good local tips. In a long list of places to visit, we can't recommend enough a boat trip to The Farne Islands - so many puffins!

Great for a cycling weekend. Excellent bike store- we even managed some hills on the bikes. Really comfortable cottage. The owner is an excellent host and we can also recommend The manor House Inn food and the Knitsley farm shop.

I can't tell you how pleased we were with this cottage. It has been a fantastic base for our short Easter stay. Finding the nearby Tesco on the outskirts of Consett was really helpful - got wine supplies and the Italian in Shotley Bridge was great on the first night.
