This bright and airy property is the perfect base for family holidays on the North Devon coast, offering plenty of space to relax and also unrivalled views across the river towards Instow and beyond.

From this well-positioned property, the delights of charming Appledore are just a short walk away. Enjoy peaceful walks through the quaint streets and bustling quayside where you can watch the fisherman return with the days catch. Across the estuary, Instow offers a sandy beach and the Royal North Devon Yacht Club for sailing enthusiasts. Spend a day relaxing on the golden sands of Westward Ho! beach, which is just two miles away. The popular family attractions of The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Tapeley Park, Arlington House and Watermouth Castle are nearby and offer fun-filled days for the whole family. The market towns of Bideford and Barnstaple offer a range of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Arranged across three floors, this property has been furnished to a high standard to ensure guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay. Enter the property on the ground floor where you will find a stylish lounge/kitchen/diner with doors that open out from the lounge area onto a balcony with seating. Due to the property’s raised position, it looks out across the river and provides a beautiful spot for sunny evenings. The lounge offers a TV, Freeview, DVD and hi-fi. The kitchen is well-equipped with all the essential mod cons including, oven dishwasher, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and many useful extras. The master bedroom with access to its own balcony can be found on the lower ground floor with a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom. There is also a separate shower room and WC on the lower ground floor and a utility room featuring fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer. The rest of the bedrooms can be found on the first floor and include, one double enjoying estuary views with en-suite shower room, and a further twin room and a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

There is parking for one small car in front of the garage and further parking is available in a nearby car park.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We had a wonderful stay at Waterfront House. The cottage was spacious, immaculate throughout and very comfortable with the log burner providing added character. The location provided fantastic views across the estuary which had an ever changing vista throughout the day and evening. This is a beautiful house in a prime location. It was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and more although the microwave was a bit complicated. All the bedrooms were comfortable with great en-suites and a lovely family bathroom. 1 parking space was really useful although it only cost 16 to park in the Read morenearby car park for the week. The location is perfect right on the estuary and we will definitely be back! Hide

We enjoyed our stay in your lovely house, it had everything we needed. Everywhere was spotless and we felt very safe. The location was ideal for walking to local eateries and shops and the views were beautiful.

Waterfront House is in a perfect position in the beautiful Devon village of Appledore. The house itself was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. The views are amazing. The house had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. The parking was a bonus too and so convenient. The village itself has several shops, cafes and restaurants to try. Lovely spacious property, with great views over the river. Whilst we only used the master bedroom, all bedrooms appeared to be of a good size with plenty of storage. Useful utility room downstairs with washing machine, extra sink, fridge/freezer. Kitchen well equipped and plenty of seating in lounge area looking out over river. I loved this cottage when I came with my husband several times in the early 2000 . Now he has passed away I came with my cousin and his wife. The alterations are even better than I could imagine. Love, love, love it.

Waterfront House situated in an ideal position for enjoying the wonderful views in such comfortable surroundings. The convenience of shops, several eateries/pubs and Quay in this delightful village makes us return for over 15 years.

Modern, bright and spacious, clean and comfortable furniture and a well equipped kitchen. There's a bathroom for each bedroom and 2x outside seating areas with beautiful ever changing views as the tide goes in and out. Very relaxing! Beautiful cottage inside with magnificent views and 2 large balconies. Clean, tidy and pretty well equipped modern home. We were lucky to find extra parking nearby the whole time we were there as none of our cars fitted in the garage. We were 6 adults and 2 dogs and the house still felt spacious. Relaxing quiet area.
