With breathtaking mountain and water views from its balcony, terrace and most rooms, this fantastic lodge is a stylish and unique base from which to explore the west coast of Scotland.

Set in an elevated position above Lochinver Bay, this property is just 1 mile from the village and fishing port. Here you will find a huge fish market, a famous pottery, a small supermarket, cafe and restaurant. Keen walkers should tackle one of the many Munros in the area or take to Culag woods. For beach lovers, the stunning Achmelvich Beach is a must, with its pristine white sand and turquoise sea flanked by rocky outcrops, perfect for a spot of swimming if you're feeling brave enough. Other nearby attractions include the Falls of Kirkaig, Hermit's Castle and boat trips from the harbour.

Inside, the accommodation is modern and stylish with high ceilings, oak flooring and extensive windows throughout. On the ground floor, a chic contemporary kitchen/diner is the heart of the home, with its shaker-style units, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, breakfast bar and full-width bi-fold glass doors opening onto the terrace. At one end, the kitchen contains an electric range oven, induction hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and TV. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer for doing laundry during your stay. Enjoy light bites at the breakfast bar in the main kitchen area or tuck into delicious evening meals at the oak table beyond. At the end of a long day on foot, fire up the wood burner and sink into one of the many sofas in the lounge to enjoy a relaxing evening in front of the Sky TV. Also on the ground floor, there is a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, plus a further WC. Upstairs there is a fantastic king-size bedroom complete with en-suite bathroom and a private balcony for enjoying that first cup of coffee with a view. This floor also contains the infra-red sauna, perfect for warming up after a chilly walk.

Step outside onto an impressively large stone patio with stunning views over the water to the mountains beyond. With garden furniture and a hot tub, this is a fantastic space to relax at any time of day or night.

Go walking, cycling and wildlife watching straight from your beautiful base. Head a little further on from Lochinver to go fishing in picturesque Loch Culag or walking in the delightful Culag Woods.

Spend the day with your friends and family on one of the many beaches in the area. Achmelvich Bay, for example, is just over 4 miles away. This is a stunning, white sandy beach, which is popular for sea fishing and kayaking, as well as swimming. Pack a picnic and stay here all day enjoying the Scottish sunshine.

Visit Loch Assynt, about 8 miles from your holiday home. This is a freshwater loch, where you can go walking and trout fishing, and which is home to a number of historic monuments, including Ardvreck Castle. This was originally built by the MacLeods of Assynt towards the end of the 15th century. During your stay, also visit the Highland Stoneware Pottery. This is less than 1 mile from your holiday home and is a fascinating place to browse.
