Minchinhampton is one of the Cotswolds secret treasures, a charming market town surrounded by stunning countryside and National Trust common land. The heart of the town remains almost unaltered with its narrow streets and pretty Cotswold stone cottages, many dating back to the 17th century. The peaceful, picture-postcard hilltop town has a small selection of shops, cafes, a vibrant country pub and a weekly market. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, you are well placed for walking, situated on the edge of Minchinhampton Common with its breath-taking panoramic views across the Golden Valley. The common is a designated site of special scientific interest and is has been home to the famous golf course since 1889. Enjoy exploring the many nearby Cotswold towns including Cirencester, Painswick, Tetbury, and Nailsworth with a wealth of dining options and independent stores.

The cottage is well situated for visiting the many Cotswold towns and villages as well as the spa towns of Bath and Cheltenham. The area is also well served with a wealth of National Trust properties and gardens that are open throughout the year, along with Westonbirt Arboretum with changing colours throughout the year. Step away from village life and through the gate into the enclosed walled garden, ahead of you a pretty 1800 character cottage awaits, step inside to the cosy lounge with beamed ceilings, exposed stone and inglenook fire place with a warming wood burner, a sofa and two fireside chairs sit perfectly where you can enjoy a good movie on the TV. Step up into the kitchen/diner where the cottage style kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, Tassimo coffee machine and dishwasher. Here you will also find a DAB Bluetooth radio. There is a table and chairs set to the side with views onto a small courtyard that's perfect for a morning coffee. Climb the cottage stairs to the first floor where you will find a library/dressing room where you can relax with a good book, and where you will find the steps leading to a romantic king-size bedroom. Climb further to the second floor where you will find a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower over the bath and WC.

The cottage enjoys a small enclosed walled courtyard accessed via the kitchen. The main gardens are to the front of the cottage with a patio area with table and chairs. Lovely little cottage in a nice village setting with great local amenities in walking distance (pub, cafe, shop). Also good base to explore local towns of Stroud, Tetbury, and Cirencester. The one slight issue we had was the split level downstairs layout (few stairs up to kitchen) meant our toddler had to be constantly supervised. A really beautiful cottage, perfect for a family and dog. Lots of very well thought out touches, like dog bowl and towels, umbrella, well furnished and equipped. The owners contacted us in advance incase we needed any information. Exactly what we needed.

Cottage very pretty & quirky- if you have problems with stairs then this one is not for you, especially as the loo is two flights up. Also you cannot park close to the property, not even to load or unload your car .That said, the village is extremely friendly & it's fun to find cattle strolling about the High street

We had a lovely week in Weaver's Cottage, and would recommend it very highly. Minchinhampton is a great location for the south Cotswolds, and the cottage is ideally located in centre of the village.
