North and south coast, and Dartmoor National Park are all within easy driving distance and are great for outdoor pursuits like long walks, watersports and fishing. Set on the Devon and Cornwall border you can spend a day visiting popular Cornish resorts such as, Padstow, Tintagel or Boscastle. Keen cyclists will be pleased to know that there are a number of cycle routes and the property offers secure bike storage. Other places to visit and things to do include Morwellham Quay, Jamaica Inn, The Eden Project and Roadford Lake, with its 730 acre reservoir, watersports and great walks is just seven miles from the property.

This cottage has been finished to ensure a cosy and comfortable base for your holiday. The ground floor offers an open-plan lounge/diner with slate floors, underfloor heating, wood burner (logs included), TV/DVD and hi-fi, so for those evenings you just want to sit back and relax, you’ll have everything you need. The kitchen has an oven, fridge with ice compartment, washer/dryer and a microwave. Upstairs you will find one double bedroom and a twin; both packed with character from the fantastic beamed ceilings and range of wooden furniture. There is also a bathroom with bath, shower attachment and WC. Outside of the property, there is an enclosed patio with garden furniture, ideal for preventing dogs from taking themselves for a walk. There is also a separate lawn area, which is not fully enclosed but enjoys the beautiful surrounding views. When your dogs do need to stretch their legs however, there is an onsite field where they can be let off the lead for a good run around.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Sue is a lovely host and very approachable if you need anything. The location is very isolated and quiet, pure heaven. Beautiful views, definitely going back next year
