Perfect for a peaceful countryside escape, this beautifully converted barn is one of two, located on a 42-acre farm with sheep, cattle and chickens, in an area ideal for those who love the outdoors.

This delightful holiday cottage is within easy reach of both the north and south coast and due to the property’s location on the Cornwall and Devon border you’ll be within easy reach of popular Cornish resorts such as Boscastle, Tintagel and Padstow. For long walks and outdoor pursuits head to Dartmoor National Park or for watersports and fishing, the 730-acre reservoir at Roadford Lake is just seven miles away. Keen cyclists should bring their bikes with them to try out the area’s cycle routes – there is secure bike storage at the property. Other nearby attractions includes The Eden Project, Morwellham Quay and the Jamaica Inn. Set all on one level this converted building has been equipped with everything you need to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The open-plan lounge/diner is a cosy space with slate floors, underfloor heating and a woodburner (logs included) for cooler months. A TV, Freeview, DVD and hi-fi will keep you entertained on evenings spent relaxing on the sofa. The kitchen area offers an oven, fridge with ice compartment, washer/dryer and microwave. There are two bedrooms in this property one double room and one twin room, both with wooden flooring and bedroom furniture. Two steps from the hallway will take you to the double bedroom and the separate bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Outside of the property you will have your own enclosed graveled area, which is suitable for keeping dogs shut in, however when they need a run around there is also a designated field where they can be let off the lead. You will also have use of a lawn area with seating and spectacular views but this is not fully enclosed.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We had a fantastic time staying at the stables. Sue made us feel so welcome and the kids absolutely loved seeing all the animals. They were treated to seeing one of the tame sheep up close and got to walk around the yard with her. The cottage is beautiful, very cosy and comfy, we all slept like logs. Being set deep in the countryside, it was pitch Read moredark at night and quiet, apart from the animal sounds. The addition of having a separate field to exercise our dog was wonderful. Hide
