Situated down a quiet country lane near to the village of Lenham, a market town on the southern edge of the North Downs between Ashford and Maidstone. The property is set within the owners grounds and offers lovely views over the surrounding countryside.

The village of Lenham Heath is perfectly located to explore Kent and to visit one of the many castles including Leeds, Rochester and Dover. For all those nature lovers; Lenham Heath Nature Reserve is on your door step. Explore Tunbridge Wells with the beautiful Pantiles area, historic Canterbury with stunning cathedral, home of the Church of England. National Trust properties include Chartwell, former home of Sir Winston Churchill, Knole House and Ightham Mote. For beaches head to Herne Bay and Whitstable, the latter famous for oysters or simply enjoy the Kent countryside. Fancy a day trip to Paris, the Eurostar is located just 10 miles away!

The accommodation offers two bedrooms, one spacious double bedroom and one single, there is restricted headroom. Shower room offers a shower and WC on the ground floor. The Lounge/Kitchen/Diner is open plan and spacious. The Lounge offers a comfortable seating area with TV/DVD, the Kitchen area offers an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher and dining area a table which seats 3 people.

Outside you will find a patio area with garden furniture and views across the owners neighbouring paddock where you may see their horse and donkeys. There is off road parking available.

 

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a great location, nicely furnished accommodation and well equipped. No wi-fi but we found that to be a benefit to have some quiet time to ourselves!

Lovely relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. The cottage has everything needed for a comfortable and peaceful break away from everything. The village is a short 8min drive from the cottage and has a co-op, chemist, restaurants and a couple of pubs. Very cosy cottage. We had bad weather but thanks to the secret garden it was not a disaster as our family visited and we managed to eat under the pagoda. Pubs in Lenham village served lovely food and were very friendly . Maverick and the two donkeys made our granddaughter s day , they came every day for their carrots. Windmill Cottage Annex is a modern, well-equipped and comfortable holiday cottage, with excellent views across the Kent countryside to the North Downs. The only downside was the proximity to the M20 motorway, as we are light sleepers and used to a more peaceful location.

We had a lovely break, the cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Lovely rooms and a great little garden which looked onto the field where the very friendly donkeys and horse came to visit for carrots and apples!. Superb views and very enjoyable sitting out on the spacious patio. The owner provided luxurious towels and plenty of dishwasher tablets and responded to our enquiries quickly. There are several footpaths in the area - the Stour River walk was lovely - and visitors must head into Lenham village - some delightful quirky shops and you can park in the Read morevillage centre! Lovely cottage annex. Quiet location. Plenty of outside space. Ideal for dog walking. There is a nature reserve just a couple of minutes walk away. Very cosy and comfortable.

Lovely place, its not far from local amenities. Our two year daughter enjoyed a lot there as she was very happy to feed the horse, donkeys and fishes in the pond.

The cottage is really great. We really love the cottage and would highly recommend it - the bed is comfortable, the shower is great, the location is very quiet and scenic. The cottage is very clean and nicely decorated and furnished. Check with the owner regarding the avilability of pans if you plan to do some cooking. A lovely cottage on a private road with a good parking space. A warm and cosy open plan living area with a view to the geen land. Good size bedrooms. A very big and clean patio. We have enjoyed every single moment of our time.

This is a most beautiful location and wonderful hosts. The tranquility and the views are uplifting and the position is central for discovering Kent.

We like to read a paper in the mornings, which meant driving into Lenham. 2 miles. Plus we ate out each night, so again 2 miles. Nice patio and garden. Lovely to see the horse and donkeys. I personally found the bed uncomfortable.

Booked this property at the very last minute for a short two night stay. Everything was made very easy for us and it was so nice to have complementary tea, coffee and other refreshments available for our late arrival.
