Detached house with hot tub, games room and enclosed garden, halfway between Shrewsbury and Oswestry. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, historians and culture enthusiasts. An all year-round destination.

The house is well placed just a short drive from Shrewsbury, the medieval market town with over 600 listed buildings, including the castle and world-famous Abbey, theatre, independent shops and eateries. Oswestry is also a short drive in the opposite direction with its town trail, well-preserved hilltop Iron Age fort, farmers market, shops and local eateries. The British Ironwork Centre is well worth a visit too. Head to the Long Mynd in Church Stretton, an excellent base for the country lovers and sportsmen alike with walking, cycling and hand gliding. Visit Hawkstone Park, National Trust’s Attingham Park, Benthall and Wenlock Edge. There is always something to see and do for all the family.

Walk into the hall leading down to the delightful kitchen, well-equipped with all the thoughtful little extras, such as the coffee machine alongside the Range style electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. If you decide to eat in and rustle up a meal you can enjoy your culinary delights in the separate dining room with views over the garden. The dining table takes centre stage by the side of the feature fireplace and dual aspect windows. The lounge has comfortable sofas to relax on, SkyTV, feature fireplace housing a wood burner, board games to keep everyone amused and French doors that lead out on to the patio and into the garden. It is a lovely space to catch up on the news, plan your holiday activities or watch a film together. Back around into the kitchen there is access to the conservatory with table and chairs and space to store your shoes and coats. Here there is also a shower, that is handy for washing off after being in the hot tub, and the separate WC. Continuing through to the inner hallway with sofa, you will find two ground floor bedrooms, a double bedroom and a king-size with French doors onto the patio with hot tub. Here there is also another shower room with large shower and WC. Upstairs on the first floor, you will find the further four bedrooms. These consist of a king-size with private balcony overlooking the garden, a further king-size and a twin. The last bedroom is a single with access to the en-suite Jack and Jill shower room and WC, also accessed from the hallway. Enjoy a leisurely bubble bath in the family bathroom with freestanding bath, separate shower and WC that completes the property. Please note all bedrooms have TVs with Sky.

Outside there are lots of areas to enjoy al fresco dining, soaking up the sun or just relaxing. Unwind in the hot tub on the patio by the conservatory, make the most of the charcoal BBQ, enjoy evening drinks at the table and chairs, watch the sunset from the picnic bench on the lawn or head into the games barn. In the games barn there is a pool table and table football for some competitive fun, or just enjoy some ball games in the garden. There is private off-road parking for five cars and a lockable bike store in the games barn.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautifully appointed, tasteful family home, all seems freshly renovated and very clean. Loads to do without even leaving the premises, and even if weather bad! Beds, linens and blankets all very comfortable, garden and grounds beautiful. Good for walkers as not so much for small children in the immediate area other than enjoying the countryside, aRead morelthough further afield there are places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go again. Hide

This is a great house, which easily accommodated our mixed age group of 10 people. The setting is beautiful and the house comes with a large and well maintained garden. The bedrooms are a very good size and the whole house is very comfortable. The property is very remote so you will need a car.

First in; so excellent all round. Owners available when needed but not hovering...perfect. Garden and games room superb. A fantastic space for all. A few more basic utensils in kitchen and that would make it. Great location. Close to Shrewsbury but not too close...so perfect Highly recommended.
