Ideal place for lovers of walks in the woods and those who like peace and quiet. Fantastic games room. The proprietors are very friendly and when you walk in the cottage the table is ready for you to enjoy the fresh homemade scones with clothed cream and jam. If you like to drive about during your stay, must be prepared to face the very narrow and Read moretwisted country lanes to access the property. Hide

Very comfortable and refurbished to a very high standard. Ken and Sarah very friendly and welcoming. The games room is amazing and was well used by us having a 15 year old boy with us! The only downside are the narrow roads and hilly position so walking for us was difficult. Would we return? Yes!

This cottage was ideal, it was down a long lane off the beaten track and very quiet. The owners were very nice and you didnt see anyone unless you crossed paths in the car park. If you want solace with plenty of uphill walking then this is the place for you.

We loved Woodcutters Cottage it was so peaceful. We were impressed with the facilities including the games room and doggie field. We have never come away from a holiday so chilled and intend visiting again. We are reluctant to tell too many in case we can't book in the future!!

Very comfortable secluded cottage, had every thing we needed. A very warm welcome was made even better by a lovely cream tea. Great for the dogs with good if steep walks and their own exercise paddock. Lovely to wake up to plenty of birdsong, really enjoyed our stay.

An outstanding base for exploring the Dartmoor National Park. Friendly and helpful hosts, who provide welcoming touches for both human and dog guests. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. An additional bonus is the games room which is also well equipped. Highly recommended.
