One of four beautifully converted barns with six acres of private woodland, perfectly located for anyone wanting to enjoy the best of both Devon and Cornwall

Easily accessible from the M5, these fantastic barn conversions are the perfect base for exploring both Devon and Cornwall. Located just over the River Tamar there is so much to explore just minutes from the property, from glorious rural scenery to the historic city of Plymouth. Close by is the pretty village of St Mellion famous for its Jack Nicklaus golf course. The nearest beaches are on the Rame Peninsula just five miles from the property. Just along the coast one can discover the traditional picture postcard resort towns of Looe and Polperro. Other attractions in the area include the Monkey Sanctuary, the Adrenalin Quarry, Go Karting, Porfell Wildlife Park, the Eden Project and many National Trust properties.

On entering this stunningly converted property you will find yourself in the beautifully designed open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, notable for its exposed beams and relaxed atmosphere. The cosy lounge is a relaxing space where you can snuggle up and watch the Smart TV, there is a sofa bed here. Leading from the lounge, you can enjoy a meal in the stylish dining area which is situated by the attractive kitchen area, complete with everything you may need including an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Moving through the property you will find the comfy ground-floor bedroom, which is a twin zip-and-link (which can be made up as a super-king size on request) with en-suite shower and WC. A staircase leads you up to the spacious first-floor super-king-size bedroom and the bathroom, with bath, separate shower and WC.

Heading outside you will find an enclosed garden and patio area complete with furniture. There is also a larger garden area shared by the four properties on this complex. Off-road parking is available, approximately 60 meters from the property. Exploring further, for which we recommend you bring your wellies as it can get muddy, you will find a track which leads to a large field where dogs are welcome, along with six acres of private wild woodland.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage is first class, everything about it was quality, the owners have certainly not skimped on furnishings, kitchen is well equipped beds are excellent. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

Had a lovely time at Chestnut Cottage, very well equipped and very dog friendly cottage, even had dog biscuits included in the welcome pack! A warm welcome by Clair when we arrived and made to feel very welcome, thankyou again to Clair and Andrew.

Chestnut cottage was amazing from arriving to departing Claire made us feel very welcome as this was my grandsons very 1st holiday she made sure he wasnt left out with books toys outdoor toys & even a paddling pool the cottage was equipped with everything you would need for a stay the location just perfect especially for our 2 dogs Luna & Bella thRead moree exercise field was enjoyed by them both lots to see & do in the area for everyone .we will definitely be back & recommending it . There a 4 fantastically appointed newly converted stables. We were most impressed with all the facilities. Ground floor worked extremely well for our wheelchair bound guest. Fantastic host! Absolutely loved it. And 2 cottages now have outdoor hot tubs in the enclosed garden, which was perfect for our two puppies (not the tubs , although they were iRead morenstalled after we left.....we must return!) Great location for exploring Cornwall and Devon!! Wonderful time - thanks Clare! Hide
