A fabulous and well-equipped barn conversion set within tranquil countryside surroundings with a fishing lake, making this a perfect retreat for couples to explore or simply unwind and relax.

Perfectly located, this barn conversion enjoys the best of both coast and country, as it is situated on the Devon and Cornwall border, between Dartmoor National Park to the east, and Cornwall’s Atlantic coastline to the west. The area immediately surrounding the property not only has a large number of picturesque villages to explore, but also offers a range of attractions, including Roadford Reservoir. The property’s proximity to the Cornish coast is a real draw for visitors, whether they fancy spending lazy days on Bude’s sandy beaches, exploring the pretty fishing village of Boscastle, or treading in the footsteps of the legendary King Arthur in the atmospheric town of Tintagel.

Upon entering this single-level property from the shared courtyard area, you will find yourself in the bright open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. In the lounge area curl up on the comfy sofa and watch your favourite film on the TV/DVD. If you decide to stay in and cook, the kitchen has everything you need with oil-fired Rayburn, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine, then enjoy your romantic meal in the dining area with a cosy table for two. After a busy day, retire to the lovely characterful double bedroom with French doors that lead onto the shared courtyard area, dressing table, wardrobe and an en-suite wet room with shower and WC.

Head outside from the lounge area onto the shared courtyard with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ (available on request). The perfect place for dining alfresco on those warm summer evenings. There is also access to seven acres of grounds with two lakes stocked with carp, so you are welcome to fish here free of charge. Shared access to the games room/utility area with the use of freezers, tumble dryer, table football and a dartboard. There is off-road parking for two cars.
