This property is situated in a particularly pretty part of the Somerset countryside, in a secluded rural location. The village of Wedmore is three miles from the property, and is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing afternoon of browsing the boutiques, and sampling the offerings in the local pubs, restaurants, or the well-regarded deli. Just outside the village, Wilkins Cider is a popular destination for visitors to try an authentic version of this local favourite, and has even featured on Jamie Oliver’s TV programme. Further afield, Cheddar Gorge is eight miles from the property, offering picturesque walks, thrilling rock climbing, and fascinating cave tours. A set of external stairs lead to the front door of this property, which opens up to the living accommodation on the first floor. The spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a great space in which to relax and enjoy spending time together, with its comfortable sofas, beamed ceiling, warming wood burner, TV/DVD. The dining table, in the centre of the room, comfortably seats six, beyond which is the kitchen area, which is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. A separate utility room houses the washer/dryer. On the ground floor of the property there are two stylish and well-sized bedrooms. The first of these is a spacious king-size room which benefits from having its own TV, as well as an en-suite wet room with shower and WC. The second bedroom is a twin room with a beamed ceiling. The bathroom, also on this floor, is contemporarily styled and offers a shower-over-bath and WC. Outside, there is a patio area with garden furniture, which is exclusively for guests’ use, whilst guests also have access to three acres of enclosed wildflower meadows and orchards. The best holiday cottage weve stayed in! Beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need and more. The little extras made it feel more like a hotel stay.
