Spacious detached property offering contemporary-style accommodation for six guests, with spacious lawned gardens and a bubbling hot tub, enjoying a quiet location in a sleepy hamlet.

This property is located in the quiet hamlet on the edge of the Isle of Wight’s Parkhurst Forest, a pretty woodland area known for its resident red squirrels and part of the island’s Red Squirrel Trail, which offers 32 miles of traffic-free cycling around the island, also a perfect location for walking . This tranquil part of the island may feel secluded, but it is in an excellent location for enjoying all that the island has to offer and is located only 3 miles from the island’s capital of Newport with its shops, restaurants, pubs, and cinema. Also within easy reach, are numerous beautiful beaches for which the island is known, with those at Gurnard and Thorness being the closest, just a ten-minute drive away.

Stepping through the front door of this property, guests will come first to a hallway where they are able to leave their coats before continuing on to the kitchen/diner which is well-equipped and offers an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. At the far end of the room, the dining area doubles up as a seating area furnished not only with a dining table but also a relaxing sofa. A separate utility room, meanwhile, houses the washing machine, tumble dryer, and a second fridge. Two of the property’s bedrooms can also be found on this floor: a restful double room and a twin room with views to the forest. There is also a bathroom with a shower-over-bath and WC. Taking the stairs to the first floor, guests will find a doorway off the landing which leads to the lounge. This delightfully spacious dual-aspect room is decorated with some interesting personal touches as well as inviting sofas, a warming wood burner, and TV/DVD. Continuing up the stairs, guests will come to the master bedroom, a stylish double room which benefits from an en-suite shower and WC.

Outside, the property boasts an impressive amount of outdoor space, with a large fully-enclosed lawn and a patio seating area. The garden is edged with trees and shrubs and there is garden furniture and a BBQ provided. In addition to this, there is a six-person hot tub which is available from June onwards at a supplementary charge per stay. There is parking for three cars on the driveway at the front of the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £150 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Lovely, comfortable and well equipped home from home. Situated in a quiet area, great for relaxation. Very welcoming owner greeted us. Nice secure garden for the dogs and a forest walk at the end of the road. We enjoyed the hot tub and Netflix. Looking forward to re booking in the future

The 6 of us had a great holiday at Yew Tree Cottage. It is in the perfect location to explore the whole island. We had everything we needed at the cottage with a very well equipped kitchen. The hot tub went down a treat! The garden is great for kids. Would love to return to the Isle of Wight again soon

Lovely location, great for dogs with a large enclosed garden with lots of plants to sniff. The woods are only a short walk away and again, great for taking the dog. Nothing is too far away and we got all around the island in the car in no time.

Lovely cottage in a very quiet spot adjacent to Parkhurst Forest. The garden in particular was large and great to sit out in. Our dog especially loved it. It is in a very quiet area, not particularly near shops and because of its position almost all routes to other parts of the Island have to go out the same way.
